Nutrition Pepper Mushroom Background BackgroundsEating a healthy diet should be simple but nutrition news can make your head spin. Let’s clear up the confusion and separate the facts from the hype. Let’s figure out how you put a healthy and delicious meal on the table tonight.
Kate Sherwood, executive chef at the Center for Science in the Public Interest, will combine what nutritionists know about healthy with what chefs know about delicious. Because eating healthy food that doesn't taste great is impossible to sustain, and let's be honest: life's too short not to enjoy great food.
So healthy and delicious, practical and easy. Join Kate for a conversation and a taste of healthy and delicious. Food samples provided! (Space is limited; please register.)

WashCapsAs the Washington Capitals' winning record brings them closer to the Stanley Cup, Himmelfarb Library looks to the health sciences literature to assess if being a Washington Capitals' fan can make you happier.

In this article, researchers explored the relationship of emotional expression with group membership.  Extrapolating from that data, we suggest that being a Washington Capitals fan will make you happier.

GO CAPS!

rschAre you on the research track?  Thinking of publishing in a scholarly journal?  If so, this workshop may be of interest to you!

Having one (or more) scholarly profiles can help you benchmark your publications compared to other researchers in your field, and track the impact of your scholarship. We will discuss ResearchGate, ORCID, and other scholarly profiling tools; participants will be invited to sign up for these accounts and to explore the tools and metrics they provide. We'll discuss pros and cons of these tools and share best practices.

This session is interactive, so participants are encouraged to bring their laptop or mobile device.
