There will be major noise on the first floor of the Library tonight, 7/27.   Please look for alternate quiet study locations in Ross Hall or at the Milken Institute School of Public Health Building.

Beginning 7/27 at 5 pm the Ross Hall entrance to the Library will be closed.  Library users must enter from the Courtyard and present your ID to the guard sitting just inside the entrance.

The regular entrance to the Library will reopen at 1pm on July 30.

integratedCongratulations are in order for SMHS’s very own Rosalyn A. Jurjus, Kirsten Brown, Ellen Goldman, Artin Galoosian and former faculty member Jill Krapf, whose article Curricular response to increase recall and transfer of anatomical knowledge into the obstetrics/gynecology clerkship was recently published in the journal Anatomical Sciences Education.

This article features a study on the efficacy of e-modules in and teaching an integrative curriculum for clinical anatomy.

E-Learning Modules are featured in our Health Sciences Research Commons.  Featured as teaching tools, these modules are a fantastic resource for all those looking to review clinical approaches to OB/GYN topics. The modules in this study can also be found in our research guides.

Himmelfarb Library now offers DynaMed Plus to our patrons!  DynaMed is a trusted database with a corresponding app that provides key point-of-care information.  DynaMed Plus is the revamped edition, and is sleeker and more functional than its predecessor.  The content is reviewed and analyzed on a daily basis by DynaMed’s team of physicians to ensure accurate, effective, point-of-care information.  Integration of Micromedex Clinical Knowledge Suite for quick drug references while within the app is another key feature.  This prevents app-juggling during point-of-care.  Improvements include more precise search results, concise and detailed overviews, care recommendations, and additional curated images.  Also, the corresponding app provides a responsive design that adjusts to the screen size of your device.

You can find DynaMed Plus on our App Shelf, along with instructions on how to download the mobile app.
