As we roll into September and DC starts to cool down a bit, it's the perfect time to try something new.  Take a study break with Himmelfarb Library's DC Events calendar and try something different!

This month's calendar can definitely show you something different in DC and includes:

  • Sunday Savasana Yoga featuring a different teacher and a different flow each week.
  • The DC State Fair, H Street Festival, Festival Fiesta DC, and the Turkish Festival can introduce you to different aspects of DC, different cultures, and different neighborhoods.
  • The Reach Opening Festival can introduce you to a new way to experience art: with you at the center of the action.

Sure, it's hot but you can still enjoy DC in the summer with the free events on Healthy Living @ Himmelfarb's August events calendar!  Enjoy the outdoors with free yoga on the waterfront or the Fletcher's Cove Park run.  You can also sample DC's culinary scene via Restaurant Week, an international food festival, or the largest vegan gathering on the East Coast.  And, for book lovers, don't miss the National Book Festival!

JuneDCHealthy Living @ Himmelfarb's June calendar of events is out to guide you to events in DC to help you explore, relax, and exercise!  This month's events include the National Museum of Natural History's Butterfly Pavillion, the Phillips Collections Jazz 'N Families Fun Days, the Giant National Capital BBQ Battle - and more!  Take a study break and explore DC via the June Events calendar!

Explore DC in May via Healthy Living @ Himmelfarb's DC Events Guide!  As the weather gets warmer, check out the DC Chocolate Festival or listen to free shows at Gypsy Sally's Vinyl Lounge!   Azaleas will be in full bloom over Mother's Day Weekend at the National Arboretum which is offering a hike mixed with yoga.  Finally, toward the end of the month, check out some of DC's Memorial Day activities including a choral festival, parade, and variety show!
