Not only are our alums smart, they are also stylish. Anibel Ng-Conwell (Psych B.A. '11) was recently named by Washingtonian Magazine as one of the 9 Best-Dressed People in Washington!

Anibel Ng-Conwell studied psychology and fine arts at George Washington University. But out of the classroom, jewelry-making spoke to her. For her brand, Egolord, she designs lightweight statement jewelry: “With pieces I loved wearing, I’d remove them mid-evening because they’re heavy. I decided to make big pieces without compromising comfort.”

Her neighborhood: Reston.

What she’s wearing: “The dress is from Zara; the mock turtleneck is vintage. I could dress it up with higher heels and a leather jacket or dress it down with sneakers and tights. It’s comfortable and edgy at the same time.”

During a semester studying in Bolivia during her junior year, Psychology major alumna Julia Mancini ('18) completed a research project while working with children from from two organizations; one serving children whose parents were incarcerated, the other serving children who were victims of sexual violence. This work resulted in a recently published bilingual children's book. "Alejandra's Journey" is a story of struggle and resilience in finding a place to call home told through a child's eye and made possible through collaboration with these organizations and a local illustrator.
