Alum Julia Mancini publishes book to help children coping with trauma

During a semester studying in Bolivia during her junior year, Psychology major alumna Julia Mancini ('18) completed a research project while working with children from from two organizations; one serving children whose parents were incarcerated, the other serving children who were victims of sexual violence. This work resulted in a recently published bilingual children's book. "Alejandra's Journey" is a story of struggle and resilience in finding a place to call home told through a child's eye and made possible through collaboration with these organizations and a local illustrator.

If interested in learning more about Alejandra's Journey or requesting a copy of the book, you can reach out to Julia at: viajedealejandra@gmail.com.
