This Monday October 10th at 8pm, Active Minds GW will be hosting guest speaker Isy Abraham-Raveson in USC 310! Their workshop, titled "Food, Sex, and Rest: Pleasure as Embodied Joy" will be talking about how society encourages us to deny ourselves pleasure. Members and non-members are encouraged to attend, so bring a friend and stop by!
PSYC 3199 Latin American Perspectives on Intersectionality and Cross-Culturalism: Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, Race & Ethnicity
It is a 3-credit course, available for undergrad or grad credit. Class meetings will be Wednesday evenings. During spring break we will travel to Mexico City and Puerto Vallarta, spending time in the queer epicenters of La Zona Rosa and Zona Romantica, respectively. We will also visit the campus of UNAM and take lectures from some of their top sexual and gender minority researchers. Fluency in Spanish is not required. Estimated expenses come in under $3,200 and financial aid is available. I will attach a flier.
