Please join us in congratulating alumn Andrew Barnett who recently started a position as a tenure-track faculty psychologist in the HIV program at Children’s National Hospital. His academic appointment will be as Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences (primary) and of Pediatrics (secondary) at the GWU School of Medicine and Health Sciences.

He has also received a mentored patient-oriented research career development (K23) award from NIMH. The five-year award, “Using Implementation Science to Enhance HIV Prevention for Young Men who have Sex with Men,” will enable him to develop expertise in implementation science methods and conduct research to promote retention in PrEP care.
