During the 1994-1995 academic year, Olga Oyner was a visiting research professor at The George Washington University, affiliated with the Research Program in Social and Organizational Learning. Her stay in the USA was supported by the Junior Faculty Development Program, which is funded by the U.S.Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and is administered by the Council for the International Exchange of Scholars. Her mentor at GW was Professor Salvatore Divita.

Dr. Olga Oyner studied at the University of Mathematics and Computer Techniques and later at the Urals State University of Economy, receiving her doctorate in industrial economy and planning.

She began working there as a post-graduate student in 1986 and is currently an associate professor. She has travelled to China and Germany for training. While in the United States, she studied the development of investment projects in a transition economy.

She is a member of the Society of the History of Ekaterinburg and the Society of Economic Liberty. She has published a series of articles, under the following titles:

  • Forming Assessment Plans of Enterprises Based on Calculations of Manufacturing Potential, collected science articles, (Sierwosk: 1988).
  • Organization of Manufacturing Economics of Industrial Enterprises, collected science articles, (Sierwosk: 1988).
