Catherine Coogan, PhD

Catherine Coogan graduated from GWU’s Clinical Psychology PhD program in 2020. She spent several externships and her internship at the American University Counseling Center. She earned her BA in Psychology at the University of Pennsylvania in 2010. Before coming to GW, she worked in a lab that treated children and adults with anxiety disorders. Catherine’s research focused on (ultimately) preventing sexual violence with college students by identifying factors that increase bystander interventions. In her free time, she enjoys biking, knitting, and exploring DC. In 2021 Catherine is in private practice and has a baby girl!
