Jenny Marceron Glienke, PhD

Jennifer E. Marceron Glienke, PhD graduated with distinction with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Virginia in 2009 and with a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from The George Washington University in 2016. In 2016, she completed her pre-doctoral internship at the University of Denver Health and Counseling Center (GSPP, APA accredited). Jenny has worked in a variety of settings including community mental health, university counseling centers and outpatient medical centers and currently works with adolescents, young adults and adults at The Family Center Counseling Associates, PLLC, Falls Church, VA. She also continues to research perceived risk of human-made and natural disasters, self-efficacy, emergency preparedness, disabilities and mental health outcomes. As a graduate student, Jenny received the FLASH Social Science Scholarship, a Nash Coffman Fellowship, and was Meltzer Practicum Student of the Year. In addition, she received four grants to support her dissertation work: the GWU Summer Dissertation Fellowship, the Society for Community Research and Action Student Dissertation Research Award, the APAGS Ellin Bloch and Pierre Ritchie Diversity Dissertation Grant, and Grants-in-Aid Award, The Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues. In her free time, Jenny enjoys reading, running, going to concerts, and spending time with family and friends. She currently lives in Richmond with her husband and dog.
