During the 1996-1997 academic year, Halyna Malyk was a visiting research professor at The George Washington University, affiliated with the Research Program in Social and Organizational Learning. Her stay in the USA was supported by the Junior Faculty Development Program, which is funded by the U.S.Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and is administered by the Council for the International Exchange of Scholars. Her mentor at GW was Professor Mary Anne Saunders.Mrs. Halyna Malyk is currently a senior lecturer at the Ivano-Frankivsk State University of Oil and Gas. Her research focuses on curriculum development in courses of English for students in economics and petroleum engineering.
