During the 2006-2007 academic year Gor Khachatryan was a visiting research professor at The George Washington University, affiliated with the Research Program in Social and Organizational Learning. His stay in the USA was supported by the Junior Faculty Development Program, which is funded by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. His advisor at GWU was Professor Robert Trost, Department of Economics.
Since 2004 Gor Khachatryan has been working as a lecturer in the Microeconomics Department of Armenian State University of Economics (ASUE). Gor has taught Microeconomic Theory and Industrial Organization for undergraduate students of ASUE. He is also Deputy Head of the Trade Union of the General Economics Division at ASUE. As a faculty member in a private regional university he taught special courses for senior civil servants of the Lori Region.
Gor has held various positions in the Ministry of Finance and Economy of the Republic of Armenia since 2001.
