Vladimir Prozorov was a Fulbright Scholar at GWU during the 2003-2004 academic year.

During the 1999-2000 academic year, Vladimir Prozorov was a visiting research professor at The George Washington University, affiliated with the Research Program in Social and Organizational Learning. His stay in the USA was supported by the Junior Faculty Development Program, which is funded by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. His mentor at GW was Professor Bernard Mergen.

Vladimir Prozorov has worked in the English Department of the Karelian State Pedagogical Institute since 1976. He has worked in several capacities such as being a teacher, the head of the English Department, and Vice-Rector for International Cooperation. Vladimir played a very active role in establishing sister city relations betwen the cities of Petrozavodsk and Duluth, MN, in the late 1980’s. He was an initiator of the sister-college project with the College of Saint Scholastica in Duluth and has been leading it from 1990 until the present.
