| Andriela Vitic was a visiting scholar from Serbia and Montenegro during the 2003-2004 academic year at The George Washington University. Her visit was sponsored by the Junior Faculty Development Program, which is funded by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. Her mentor at GWU was Professor Sheryl Elliott.
Ms. Vitic received her Bachelor of Science in Economy from the University of Novy Sad in Serbia and Montenegro in 1995. The title of her thesis was “Organization of the Executive Function of Internal Transport.” In 1996 she was accepted to the Master’s degree at the same university at the College of Economy. She graduated with the M.Sc. in Economy in 2001. Her thesis was “Globalization of the market and contemporary marketing strategies.” She has held numerous positions in her field including Senior Collaborator for the HEMA GmbH, Hamburg, Germany; Consultant for CDG (Carl Duisberg Gesellschaft) – Inwent (Internationale Weiterbildung und Entwicklung gemeinnutzige GmbH); and Senior Adviser for ANIMA, Non-Governmental Association for the Culture of Peace and Non-Violence located in Kotor, Serbia and Montenegro.
