During the 1995-1996 academic year, Sergei Kichev was a visiting research professor at The George Washington University, affiliated with the Research Program in Social and Organizational Learning. His stay in the USA was supported by the Junior Faculty Development Program, which is funded by the U.S.Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. His mentor at GW was Professor Prabir Bacchi.
Sergei Kichev is the Vice Dean of the Department of Economics at Syktyvkar State University. He is a Professor of Economic Sciences at the Syktyvkar State University. From 1983 to 1987, Sergei Kichev had been at the forefront of scientific and research work performed by the Academy of Sciences in the Komi Republic. From 1987 to 1990 he did dissertation research at the Research Institute of Economics and Management of Construction (RIEMC), in Moscow. In 1991 he became the vice dean of the Economics Department, after working in RIEMC in Moscow and the Komi Branch of the RIEMC. He was the Faculty of Economics at the Department of Automatic Systems for Economic Information. He taught Automatical Management Systems, Information, and Economic-mathematical methods and models. He teaches Logistics and Information recently. He is also a member of the Scientific Council of the University and has traveled in the past to the Copenhagen School of Business to participate in an exchange program. His publications include:
While in the United States, he studied the options for strategic planning of structural changes in a single link in an international logistic chain.
