During the 2006-2007 academic year, Makhinur Mamatova was a visiting research professor at The George Washington University, affiliated with the Research Program in Social and Organizational Learning. Her stay in the USA was supported by the Junior Faculty Development Program, which is funded by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. Her advisor at GWU was Professor Jerrold Post, Department of International Affairs.
Since 2006 Makhinur Mamatova has been working as Associate Professor and Head of the Psychology Department of American University – Central Asia (AUCA). Makhinur has published a number of articles on psychology and participated in many workshops and lectures since 1994.
