During the 2000-2001 academic year, Irina Naoumova was a visiting research professor at The George Washington University, affiliated with the Research Program in Social and Organizational Learning. Her stay in the USA was supported by the Fulbright Program, which is funded by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. Her mentor at GW was Professor Stuart Umpleby.Irina Naoumova, is a professor in Management Science and is Head of the Department of Management at Kazan State University, Russia. Her scientific interests are:
· Cross-cultural aspects of organizational behavior; Dr. Irina Naoumova is an active member of professional and scientific societies, and academic and scientific councils: · Since November 2000 she has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Alliance of Universities for Democracy (AUDEM); Irina Naoumova spent the 1996-1997 academic year as a Junior Faculty Development Program scholar at the College of Business Administration, University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Her stay in the USA was supported by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. For 17 years Dr. Irina Naoumova has taught various academic courses: · Cross- Cultural Management; Dr. Naoumova advises the scientific work of 3 postgraduate students, participates in national and international scientific and academic conferences (total quantity of papers is more than 40, number of international conferences – more than 10). She has published recently a scientific monograph, “Managing Personnel Development,” Kazan, KSU, 2000, 164 pages. She is married and has one son. Irina’s husband, Viatcheslav I. Naoumov (naumov@kai.ru), is a professor at Kazan State Technical Tupolev University. He was also associated with the Research Program during their stay in Washington. |
