During the Spring 2011 Rita Gevorgyan was a visiting research scholar at The George Washington University, School of Business, Department of Management. Her stay in the USA was supported by the Junior Faculty Development Program, which is funded by U.S Department of State. Her advisor at George Washington University was Professor Stuart Umpleby.
Rita Gevorgyan is a head of “Education Quality Management and Control” division at the State Engineering University of Armenia (SEUA) and Associate Professor of Economic Sciences. She teaches Strategic Management course.
She is engaged in research analyzing business environment of Armenia identifying and revealing the main sources of competitive pressure. She also explores options for developing strong strategic management framework to improve non-profit organizations activity.
She worked in different projects supported by TEMPUS_TACIS, Open Society Institute Assistance Foundation within the context of the Bologna Process.
Her interests include industrial management, quality assurance, business management, educational administration, mathematical modeling aspects for strategic decision-making.
