During January – May 2011 Ia Jimshitashvili was a JFDP visiting scholar at GW School of Business, Department of Management, sponsored by U.S. government’s Junior Faculty Development Program. Her faculty adviser was Professor Paul Swiercz.
Ia Jimshitashvili is an Associate professor, Head of the Economics Department, and a Member of the University Academic Board at Telavi State University, Georgia.
Her educational background is the field of Management, and her PhD is in Economic Sciences. Her dissertation: “Forming and Developing of Organizational Structures of Management in Industrial Corporations” was defended at Russian State Social University, Moscow, Russia. Her research interests are concentrated in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Time and Self Management and Social Management.
Ia Jimshitashvili has published about 20 scientific articles in Russian, Armenian, Azerbaijan and Georgian journals, in Russian, English and Georgian languages. From February 2009 to March 2009 she was a guest Lecturer in an “Organizational Management” course in Thessaloniki Technological Educational Institute (ATEI), under the Erasmus-Mundus Program, Thessaloniki, Greece.
