During the 2010-2011 academic year Fakhri Ismayilov was a Fulbright scholar at The George Washington University, School of Business, Department of Finance. His adviser at GWU was Dr. George Jabbour, professor of Finance and Director, MSF Program. His stay in the USA was supported by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.
He has a PhD degree from the Azerbaijan State Economic University. His interests include macroeconomics, monetary and fiscal policy, fiscal sustainability, leadership and strategic policy decision-making. He was the local consultant on a report on Public Expenditure and Financial Accountability in Azerbaijan wich was supported by the World Bank.
