During the spring of 2010 Ekaterine Bakaradze was a visiting research scholar at The American University, Washington College of Law, affiliated with the Research Program in Linguistics and Law. Her stay in the USA was supported by the Junior Faculty Development Program (JFDP), a program of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) of the U.S. Department of State, administered by the American Councils for International Education. Her mentor at The American University was Professor Donna Bain Butler.

Ekaterine has a PhD degree in Linguistics and an LLM in Law from Tbilisi State University. Her interests include Legal English, Legal Writing, Business Law, Media Law, Educational Administration, Sociolinguistics and Slang. She is the author of Foreign Language Teaching Programs and is a Trainer of Higher Education Programs within the context of the Bologna Process. Ekaterine is an expert on the project, Development of Intercultural Awareness in Students, at the Center of International Education in Tbilisi, Georgia, which is funded by the European Commission.

Ekaterine took part in activities with the visiting scholars at The George Washington University.

In 2012 she worked at the International Black Sea University in Tblisi. She is an associate professor and quality assurance manager in The Faculty of Social Sciences.
