During the 1996-1997 academic year, Anna Bazarova was a visiting research professor at The George Washington University, affiliated with the Regional Scholars Exchange Program, which is funded by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.  Her mentor at GW was Professor Stephanie Spernak.Anna Bazarova is the Deputy Head Doctor in the Clinical Hospital in Akmola.  Her primary area of interest is “Models for Reorganization of Health Services in Kazakhstan.” 

She received her first Degree as a Physician from Akmola Medical Institute in 1981. In 1983 she received her Physician in Endocrinology Practice degree. She received her Doctoral Degree in the same field in 1990, from the Moscow Medical Institute.
