The article analyzes a photo of a man with the confederate flag in the Capitol. “Clint Smith, a local writer and one of our jail book club facilitators, wrote this thoughtful piece about what happened at the Capitol on Wednesday if you want to check it out.”

Voices DMV is a local civic engagement initiative by the Greater Washington Community Foundation. This initiative included a regional survey in partnership with Gallup, a series of Social Justice Town Halls, and Community Action Awards. Their new report, Voices DMV: Community Insights is an important read to inform campus-community partnerships and learn more about our city and region.
