New Non-Degree Students
Individuals who wish to take courses at GW without entering a degree program must first apply online for non-degree admission through the GWU Office of Non-Degree Students (ONDS). On the application, students should select, "Off Campus Program". Once the online application has been completed and you have been issued a GWID number, return to this site to complete steps 1- 4 as listed below. Non-Degree tuition rates apply. See also the GSEHD Student Handbook for regulations regarding non-degree coursework.
Registration Process: All Students
STEP ONE: Review the ETL Program Critical Dates for important semester information dates and deadlines. Graduating students should also refer to the Graduating Students Critical Dates tab.
STEP TWO: See GWEB Registration Instructions and Course Reference Numbers (CRNs).
STEP THREE: Students may purchase Textbooks from the GW Bookstore.
STEP FOUR: New Student Orientation: New Student Orientation materials will be emailed to students. The ETL Orientation provides information on how to access course materials and use the communications tools that are central to BlackBoard (Bb), our course delivery system. It allows time for students to familiarize themselves with their new learning environment. Students may log on to BlackBoard by going to: http://blackboard.gwu.edu.
