Reminder: Students unable to enroll in coursework for any reason during the Spring or Fall semester, must enroll in a Leave of Absence. This includes instances where non- enrollment is due to lack of available courses matching a student’s program requirements. See: General Administrative and Student Forms.

February 11		Last day to Drop a course online via GWEB. Students should first email their course professor(s), etladmin@gwu.edu and educrep@gwu.edu.
March 24		Last Day to Withdraw from a course with a grade of “W” via GWEB. Students should first email their course professor(s), etladmin@gwu.edu and educrep@gwu.edu.

ETL Program Spring 2023 Withdrawal / Refund Period The first day of the GW Spring 2023 academic semester is January 16, 2023. ETL classes start on January 18, 2023.
100% Refund Period		From the first day of the academic semester, until the end of the second week of the academic semester: January 16 - January 28, 2024
60% Refund Period		From the first day of the third week of the academic semester until the end of the third week of the academic semester: January 29 - February 4, 2024
40% Refund Period		From the first day of the fourth week of the academic semester, until the end of the fourth week of the academic semester: February 5 - February 11, 2024
20% Refund Period		From the first day of the fifth week of the academic semester, until the end of the fifth week of the academic semester: February 12 - February 18, 2024
No Refund		On and after the first day of the sixth week of the academic semester: February 19, 2024 and later

January 1 - January 31		Graduating ETL Masters and Graduate Certificate Students: Notify ETL Program Administration etladmin@gwu.edu of your intent to complete your program requirements.
January 1 - April 1		Graduating Graduate Certificate Students: Application for Graduate Certificate Completion due.
January 1 - February 1		Graduating ETL Masters Students: Comprehensive Exam Request Form due. In order to be cleared to sit for the comprehensive examination, students must be in good standing and have completed all of their coursework or be in their last semester of coursework and have no Incompletes ("I's") or In Progress Grades ("IPG's") on their record.
January 1 - March 15		Graduating ETL Masters Students: Graduation Application due. We strongly recommend early (January) submission of the graduation application.
March 15 - April 1		Summer Graduating ETL Masters Students Participating in Spring Ceremonies must register for Summer courses prior to submitting a (Spring) Graduation Application. Refer also to Summer Graduating Students Critical Dates

March 15 - May 31		Application for Graduate Certificate Completion due.

🎓 Summer 2024 ETL Graduating Masters Degree Students - Attending Spring 2024 Ceremonies:
Summer 2024 ETL graduating masters degree students who need no more than 9 credit hours to complete their degree requirements and are able to obtain the needed academic credit hours during Summer 2024, may participate ("walk through") the Spring 2024 GSEHD Celebration Ceremony and GWU Commencement Ceremony. Students in this category should adhere to the following deadlines:
January 1 - April 1		Notify ETL Program Administration etladmin@gwu.edu of your intent to complete your program requirements in Summer 2023 and that you plan to participate in Spring 2023 ceremonies.
March 16 - April 1		Graduation Application due and should be submitted only after you have registered for your final Summer 2023 class(es). On the application indicate you are a Summer 2023 graduate participating in preceding Spring 2023 ceremonies.
March 16 - June 1		Comprehensive Exam Request Form due. In order to be cleared to sit for the comprehensive examination, students must be in good standing and have completed all of their coursework or be in their last semester of coursework and have no Incompletes ("I's") or In Progress Grades ("IPG's") on their record.
