"Visualizing Air and Climate Pollution from Space"
Abstract: In order to reduce the impacts of air and climate pollution on human health, we first need a way to quantify how much is emitted. In this talk, I will show how we make invisible air pollution visual through the use of NASA and European satellite instruments. In this way, we can verify whether pollution reduction targets are being achieved.

"Inclusive undergrad research opportunities using digital data"
Abstract: Undergraduate research experiences (URE) are widely recognized as a critical component of undergraduate STEM education, and have been shown to increase student self-efficacy, science identity, and persistence in STEM. Students from historically excluded groups show the greatest benefits from UREs, but many barriers remain for students to access those experiences and for faculty to offer them. In this WOW talk, I will discuss how digital data repositories and course-based UREs can reduce those barriers and make undergraduate research available to all students.

"Will the Green Economic Transition in Northern Sweden Be Just?"
Abstract: In the coming years, northern Sweden is planning to mine rare earth metals, produce green steel from hydrogen power, and produce batteries in a giant factory. What are the costs in making the transition to a new economy that minimizes greenhouse gas emissions and who will pay the price?
