RCR Workshop: The Intersection of Human Research, Privacy, Consent and Data Sharing
July 25, 2019 -- 2:00 – 3:30 p.m.
The Office of Research Integrity is hosting a Responsible Conduct of Research session on a case study from Duke University in which an image dataset was removed by university officials after public outcry and determinations of non-compliance.
The intersection of human subjects, privacy protections, and human rights is highlighted in
the Duke case, which also represents modern research ethics concerns for all researchers, and is applicable across all research disciplines.
