During the 2000-2001 academic year, Madina Ibadova was a visiting research professor at The George Washington University, affiliated with the Research Program in Social and Organizational Learning. Her stay in the USA was supported by the Junior Faculty Development Program, which is funded by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. Her mentors at GW were Professors George Bozzini and Kathryn Larsen.

Madina Ibadova now lives in Moscow. She was a professor in the English Philology Department at Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. She taught courses in Analytical Reading, Conversation, Phonetics, and Grammar of the English language. Her research interests are in the field of phraseology.

Madina Ibadova received her degree from Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, and received a diploma in linguistics. In the summer of 1998 she attended courses for teachers of EFL at the British Council in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, and received a Cambridge Examination Certificate for Teachers of English.

She is married and has one child.
