Announcement: CCMA’s 2020 Award Winners

Campus Compact Mid-Atlantic proudly announces award winners for the 2019-20 academic year. Congratulations Ms. Amy Cohen for winning the Institutional Leadership Award! The Institutional Leadership Award "recognizes and honors one individual for outstanding contributions to the institutionalization of community engagement, by inspiring a culture of service/civic and community engagement on the campus and involving community voice in the development of partnerships and the campus."

"Campus Compact Mid-Atlantic actively seeks to recognize excellent service-learning and community and civic engagement work in our region. Through the annual CCMA Awards program, CCMA aims to recognize student, faculty, administrative, and community leaders." Click here for more information.

  • Brit Kirwan Engaged Leader Award– Dr. Maurice Taylor, Morgan State University
  • Institutional Leadership Award– Ms. Amy Cohen, The George Washington University
  • Alan G. Penczek Service-Learning Faculty Award– Dr. Samia Rab Kirchner, Morgan State University
  • Early Career Engaged Scholarship Award– Dr. Julius Davis, Bowie State University
  • P20 Partnership Award– Dr. Elizabeth Soslau, University of Delaware
  • Civic Engagement Award– Ms. Amanda Choutka, American University
  • Engaged Campus Award– UMBC
  • Excellence in Service Student Group Award– FSU SGA led Mr. Noah DeMichele, Frostburg State University
  • P20 Partnership Award– Dr. Elizabeth Soslau, University of Delaware
  • The Civic Leadership Award- Ms. Susan Stroud, Executive Director, Innovations in Civic Participation
