Government Procurement & Cybersecurity: Learn about opportunities this “in-demand” area of the law.

On October 24, 2023, the GW Law Government Procurement & National Security, Cybersecurity & Foreign Relations Law Programs will host a lunchtime panel discussion to introduce students to this in-demand area of the law, and to celebrate our Degree & Concentration offerings in Government Procurement & Cybersecurity Law. Students will hear from a panel of expert practitioners about this fascinating interdisciplinary, area of the law. Associate Deans Tillipman & Schenck will also share information the program requirements and provide guidance regarding course planning as students prepare for spring pre-registration. Lunch will be served.

Within the field of Government Procurement Law there is increasing demand for cybersecurity legal expertise among government procurement practitioners. Both government procurement and cybersecurity have been identified by the U.S. Government as “mission critical occupations” in which the United States suffers from “critical skills gaps.” When students elect to concentrate in government procurement and cybersecurity law, they signal to prospective employers that they have obtained expertise and knowledge in this specialized field.

Learn more about this field and the many opportunities available to government procurement attorneys and non-attorney acquisition professionals by joining us on the 24th at 12pm ET in the Student Conference Center (lunch will be served) or via Zoom.

The program is limited to currently enrolled GW Law students and will be held in-person in the GW Law Student Conference Center (SCC) and via Zoom for students located outside the Washington, D.C. area.
