Careers in Government Procurement & Cybersecurity Law

Wiley LLP , the GW Law Government Contracts Student Association, and GW Law National Security Law Association are excited to welcome GW Law students to Wiley on February 10, 2025 for a panel discussing careers at the intersection government contracts, national security, and cybersecurity.  The event will provide students with the opportunity to hear in-house and outside counsel perspectives on the future cybersecurity in the government contracts field and network with Wiley attorneys, the panelists, and their classmates.

As governments around the world continue to digitize their operations and rely on contractors for critical services, the intersection of procurement and cybersecurity law has become a crucial focus area. Cybersecurity breaches in government systems can have catastrophic consequences, making it essential for contractors and their attorneys to understand both procurement regulations and cybersecurity compliance.

Join a panel, moderated by Cara Sizemore of Wiley, to hear Rita Regelbrugge (Wiley), Melanie Tiano (T-Mobile), and Jade Totman (Boeing) discuss their career paths, what their typical day entails, and what excites them about this in-demand area of the law. A networking reception will follow the panel.
