AACUcivic shared an important innovation from Tufts University’s Institute for Democracy & Higher Education today. The “IDHE’s Campus Boundaries Project allows institutional leaders, students, civic organizations, activists, and public officials to examine where Congressional and State district lines are currently drawn. With this tool, users can identify student communities of interest, particularly minority student populations, that are at risk of partisan gerrymandering.”

Having information about who is doing whatwhere, and with whom helps us all to coordinate our efforts and collaborate with our community partners more effectively.

Givepulse is the Nashman Center's online platform for this information sharing and networking among faculty, students, and community partners.

“A fundamental belief of Community-Campus Partnerships for Health (CCPH) is that health equity and social justice need to be pursued both within partnerships and through them. Over the last 15 years, CCPH has studied, examined, engaged in, and evaluated what makes partnerships work, sustain authenticity, and achieve the change they want to see in their community. The figure above aims to show how authentic partnerships best exist within a space that includes four specific elements. Learn more.

Students in the GW Women's Leadership Program (WLP) had a unique opportunity to serve as virtual mentors for students in YWCA's mentoring program this year. Over the course of the year, WLP students supported civic action projects with their mentees and helped them learn about local and national government. They also took part in self-care Saturdays, streamed movies together, discussed college applications, created art together and much more during the 2020-2021 school year.
