Engineering Projects In Community Service in IEEE is calling for proposals for service learning projects around addressing the technological needs of communities around the world. Join the International Association for Research on Service-Learning and Community Engagement in a four-part web series to explore contemporary and cutting edge approaches to community-engaged research. Learn about youth participatory action research, data literacy and quantitative analysis of big data, trends and gaps in community-engaged dissertation research, and Carnegie Co-Labs. The Institute on Project-Based Learning at Worcester Polytechnic Institute is a resource to promote and support efforts by colleges and universities looking to advance project-based learning on their campuses. The Institute is a 2.5-day intensive workshop where teams of five or more faculty and administrators work with experts to learn about project-based learning and make tangible progress to integrate best practices into their own curricula. The Institute will run from Thursday, June 20, through Saturday, June 22, 2024, and is held at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, Massachusetts. The American Public Health Association (APHA) 2024 Annual Meeting and Expo, Community Based Public Health Caucus invites your abstract submissions related to the science and practice of community-based public health. The 2024 APHA Annual Meeting and Expo will take place in Minneapolis, MN on October 27-30, 2024. They are looking for abstracts that advance our knowledge of community-academic partnering in multi-disciplinary collaboration and a diversity of community-based public health activities, including basic and applied research projects, interventions, teaching and service learning projects. Project Pericles is accepting applications for their Civic and Voter Engagement Fellowship. Fellows will receive a $1,000 grant to use Periclean Civic Engagement Resources in the humanities for Spring- Fall 2024. These modules help educate students about voter suppression and bridge the gap between academic content and the real world. Applications are being accepted on a rolling basis. This film was directed by Sabiyha Prince and Samuel George, who will join the discussion after the screening.
