2020 DC Climathon: Friday, November 13th, 2020 at 4:00pm. Innovators, entrepreneurs, and climate activists are encouraged to join. Attendees will connect with other innovators, develop a solution to the challenge, and compete for prize money. Social Innovation Sustainability Workshop: Wednesday, October 21st at 5:00pm EST. The Office of Sustainability and GWupstart invite you to join us in developing community solutions to address environmental concerns in our communities. At this design workshop we will bring together thought leaders and changemakers to brainstorm solutions and analyze how we can address sustainability in order to foster a more inclusive and equitable community. Dr. Namaal De Silva will be providing a background overview of sustainability issues. We will also be designing solutions alongside the community experts. Register here.

Planet Forward Virtual Summit: October 16, 23, and 30, from 1-3 pm ET. Climate change is the story of our generation, and what defines that story is how we tell it – and the action we take because of it. Through their partnership with The Duke Clinical Research Institute (DCRI) and the UNC Center for Health Equity Research (CHER), Community-Campus Partnerships for Health (CCPH) received a NIH Grant to expand COVID-19 testing and "aims to build innovative and sustainable solutions to expand test access and uptake in underserved and vulnerable communities."
