GW is a member of The Research University Civic Engagement Network (TRUCEN). It is an excellent way to connect with other faculty who work in institutions similar to ours.
TRUCEN has announced their Sustained Conversation Groups for AY 24-25. Consider your options and register here by May 15. These conversation groups will launch in June.
Note GW's own Maranda Ward will continue to facilitate her conversation group on equity-focused community -based research!

Sustained Conversation Groups:

3. NEW topic: Integrating Community Engagement and Career Readiness Efforts to Benefit Undergraduates with Co-Facilitators: Gina Lee-Olukoya, U of IL at Urbana - Champaign & Chun Creaser, University of MN Twin Cities;
4. NEW topic: Engagement & Wellness (issues around apathy, mental health, creating customized approaches to engagement)  with Co-Facilitators: Briana Huett, UConn & Bridget Summit, Brandeis University;
5. NEW topic: Dream Lab (creating space for discussing big ideas and innovations like what Al means to civic engagement) with Co-Facilitators: James Roland, Emory University, Agnieszka Nance, Tulane University, & Adam Gismondi, Tufts University;
6. NEW topic: Expanding the Metrics of University Accountability (based on webinar with Davarian) with Co-Facilitators: Marisa Hightower, University of Miami & Renee Brown, Michigan State University
