Encourage your students to apply for the 2022 Samuel Halperin Youth Public Service Award! The Youth Public Service Award is presented to someone who has demonstrated the spirit of and commitment to public service, and has overcome barriers and challenges to succeed.
Your student could win a cash award of $1,500 as well as have the opportunity to read an essay at an event attended by education, workforce, and youth policy leaders from across the nation.
Applications are due Monday, June 6, 2022 at 5pm ET. The application includes:
- A brief cover sheet
- A 750-1,000-word essay describing the youth’s commitment to and involvement in public service, as well as how public service has helped them overcome barriers and challenges they may face.
