In an article published by the Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U), GW was highlighted for their participation in the Pathways of Public Service and Civic Engagement project. Initiated by the Haas Center for Public Service at Stanford University, the Pathways project highlights six “pathways” that students can follow to pursue academic experiences and careers related to civic engagement.
Although originally created by Stanford’s Haas Center in 2013, Pathways now includes faculty, staff, and administrators from seventy-six colleges and universities, one of those being George Washington University. Amy Cohen, Executive Director of the Honey W. Nashman Center for Civic Engagement and Public Service, was featured in the article, answering the question “How are different colleges and universities using the pathways framework and survey?”
The Nashman Center is proud to take part in the Pathways of Public Service and Civic Engagement project. To read Amy Cohen’s interview response and the entire article, click here.
