Resource: Sleep and Inequality

This article from The Mattress Nerd explains how the United States’ inequality problem extends to the way we sleep.

“According to the CDC, there is a direct relationship between household income and sleep and race and sleep. While lack of sleep may seem like a minor issue, sleep deprivation comes with a wide range of health risks, from impaired judgment to increased risk of diabetes, and contributes to a larger public health crisis rooted in racial inequality.”

This resource guide reviews the factors that contribute to sleep inequality and America's sleep gap while also providing insight from educators so that individuals have the tools they need to raise awareness on this issue.
