On Wednesday, October 14th at 2pm ET, Dr. John Giggie, Director of Summersell Center for the Study of the South at the University of Alabama, will lead a discussion about the “History of Us,” an initiative focused on engaging young people in the development of public school civics curriculum. Students involved in the program provide their unique perspectives about the power and importance of engaging with local history to inform collective action.
