A message from The Global Women's Institute, "in the wake of this week's decisions regarding justice for Breonna Taylor, we at GWI would like to express our wholehearted solidarity with Black women, and those working to end the racial injustice that continues to plague our communities.
We are reminded in this moment of how movements for gender equality cannot be disentangled from movements for racial equality. The gender equal world we are working toward can never be fully realized if racial injustice continues to exist; if Black women can be murdered in their own home and offered no justice. We are committed to following those leading the movements for racial equality, especially in these moments when the sting of injustice feels unbearable. This fight is our fight, too.
In this spirit, we encourage you to visit the resources found here, compiled by The United State of Women. As you'll see, there are a variety of ways to demand racial justice, even if you just have three minutes. There are also resources for those seeking mental health support in this difficult time.
We hope you'll take care of yourselves, and one another."
