Semi-formal with OLAS [SPA Event]

Join SPA member Yesenia Flores and the Organization of Latino American Students on Saturday, April 13th to celebrate the 17th Annual Noche de Cultura.
During this night, cultures around the world come together and embrace each other’s similarities and differences through the theme “Under the Moon: Todos Juntos.”
This spectacular evening features an array of Latin American cuisine, lively music, and fantastic performances.

Dress code: Semi-formal (Dress to impress!!!!!)
Ticket Price:
$7 for members
$10 for non-members

Palisades Book Sale [SPA Event]

For the bookworm/bargain shopper in all of us, the SPAs have found a book sale that is sure to satisfy. This Saturday at the Palisades Library (down the street from the Vern) we’re headed over to their annual book sale.
Most books will be $1, with a $10 per bag option as well. There is also a discount room, with books at $0.25 and $3 per bag. Bring your own bag(s), because the selection is FANTASTIC. Make sure to have some cash on hand, and the sale’s proceeds will support this library.
Meet Rebekah Johnson at the West Hall Vern Express stop for a leisurely walk over at 1:30 pm on Saturday, the 23^rd of March. See y’all then!

Board Game Night! [SPA Event]

Want to pwn your fellow Honors students in Trivia? How about getting victory points in the land of Catan? Do all this and MORE at Board Game Night! Join Sarah Rood and your fellow Honors students playing Trivial Pursuit, Munchkin, Settlers of Catan, Cards Against Humanity and possibly more! Be there Wednesday March 20th (that’s this Wednesday!) from 5-7 pm in the Club Room. Come late or leave early if necessary, as long as you play fairly and have fun!

Road Trip! [SPA Event]

Get excited for the SPA’s big event of the semester! Consider this your formal invitation to bond with your SPA and other honors students on a road trip across the country (figuratively, of course). In addition to some delicious and FREE burritos from Boloco, the SPA will be serving regional cuisine – rest assured there will be fried pickles, among other favorites. Here’s what you need to know:
When: Wednesday, February 20th, 7-9pm
Where: UHP Townhouse
Excited?! You should be! In addition to great company and food, the SPA will be available to offer advising on tough stuff like choosing a major, getting involved in extracurricular activities, study abroad, campus life/housing, and anything related to #honorsproblems. We can’t wait to see you there!

If you’re interested in taking control of your UHP experience and helping others succeed, consider applying to become a SPA! SPA members help fellow students with course selection, conflict resolution, time management and extracurriculars as well as provide a student perspective of the UHP to prospective students and parents.

Pizza, Candy, and CHAIR MASSAGE?! [SPA Event]

Hey UHPers!
Mark your calendars for this Monday, December 3rd from 7-9pm in the UHP Townhouse on Foggy Bottom because the UHP SPA is hosting an end-of-the-semester event that will feature pizza (free food!), candy (sugar to power through those research papers!), and – wait for it – CHAIR MASSAGES! This event is open to all UHP students and we cannot wait to see you there. Swing by early to make sure you can grab some pizza, hang out with your favorite SPA, and sign up for a free chair massage.
