Freshmen: Small Group Advising!

It’s time again for small group meetings! Freshmen will meet with Catherine and Liz to go over the pressing matters of these hectic times. (Hint: these hectic times feel a lot less hectic when you know what’s going on, so make sure to sign up for a small group!)
The topics:
  • Registration
  • Remaining Honors requirements (Trust us, you need to hear this!)
  • Study Abroad
  • HOW and WHERE to get your advising or major declaration hold removed!

Join us before or after spring break, but don’t wait! Registration is lurking just ’round the corner.

Wednesday, March 6th 9:30am, 11:30am, or 2:30pm in the Club Room at 714 21st St (Foggy Bottom)

Hurry up! Complete your Honors Contract.

If you’re taking a contract course, make sure to get your Honors Contract complete.

Taking a Contract Course? [Deadline]

If you’re taking a contract course, make sure to get your Honors Contract complete.
It may not be as exciting as signing the “Fun Contract” with the Cat in the Hat.  But it should be considerably less terrifying than having to interact with a furry Mike Myers in some kind of nightmare cat costume. So it’s a tradeoff, we guess.
How do you know if you need to complete an Honors Contract? Keep reading to find out.

Registration, Scheduling, and Advising Help

The superstorm knocked us out for a couple days, but so long as the University is back up and operational this week, we’ll be back to help you figure out your schedule in time for registration! Here’s what you can do:
1) Email as many of your questions and completed approval forms (for CCAS students to get their holds lifted) as you can! You can email right to Liz or Catherine, or to uhp@gwu.edu.
2) Attend the hold removal/schedule advising bagel party on Wednesday from 10am-12pm in the UHP town house in Foggy Bottom.
3) Attend walk-in hours on Thursday, Friday, and Monday (11/1, 11/2, 11/5).  From 10am-4pm on both campuses, walk in for advising.  It’s first come, first served, so come early (and maybe bring some homework to read if you have to wait.)
4) Attend evening walk-in hours in Foggy Bottom from 5-7pm on Wednesday.
5) Make an appointment. Right now, there aren’t any appointments available until Tuesday (11/6).  If you can wait, that’s fine.  Otherwise, check out the three other options above.
Remember, you can always find all of our courses and descriptions at our website here.

All About Spring '13 Registration

This is a long one, full of information so dry that even the most adorable cat pictures won’t spice it up.  Still, it’s important to know — so read through and come back to it later if you need!  Remember, if you miss your registration day, you won’t have another chance to register until open registration (so freshmen and sophomores, don’t waste your privileged registration!)
Registration dates, forms, procedures, and info on where to get free pizza ia all below!  Continue reading “All About Spring '13 Registration”
