Tomorrow: Food for Thought w/ Prof. Sides

Never put off tomorrow what you can do today!  Particularly apt in this case, since today’s your last chance to register for this free lunch and lecture with Prof. John Sides!

Food for Thought: The Story of the 2012 Presidential Campaign (in Graphs!)

“Game changer.” We heard it so many times during the 2012 U.S. presidential election. But what actually made a difference—and what was just hype? John Sides will tell the story of the election in just a few graphs — using a “moneyball” approach that gets beyond the anecdote, folklore, and conventional wisdom that often pass for election analysis.

Tuesday, March 19th from 11:30am-12:30pm in Ames 101Q (MVC).
Seats are capped at 15, so register now!

Food for Thought: The 2012 Election [Lunch Event!]

Join the UHP and Prof. John Sides, Professor of Political Science and UHP Faculty Fellow, 2012-2013 as he presents on his research over a UHP provided lunch.

Pizza, Candy, and CHAIR MASSAGE?! [SPA Event]

Hey UHPers!
Mark your calendars for this Monday, December 3rd from 7-9pm in the UHP Townhouse on Foggy Bottom because the UHP SPA is hosting an end-of-the-semester event that will feature pizza (free food!), candy (sugar to power through those research papers!), and – wait for it – CHAIR MASSAGES! See you all on Monday!

Brunch with Catherine and Liz

Catherine and Liz will be brunching at the Vern this Sunday.  Join them in Pelham Commons at the MVC from 11am-2pm and get your CCAS advising hold removed, or just get some quality advice.  All while brunching.
Will they show up in standard “brunch at the Vern on Sunday” garb?  Big hats?  Pajamas?  You won’t know unless you show up.  Preferably in your big hats and pajamas.
More info, and other advising hold removal party times below….  Continue reading “Brunch with Catherine and Liz”

Hold Removal + Food = Win

CCAS students: have an advising hold you need removed for registration?  Catherine and Liz can help! And food!  Food!
All other students: have scheduling questions and need help?  Catherine and Liz can help! And food!  Food!
We’ve got three different hold removal parties coming up:

  • Sunday, October 28th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. – join us at brunch in Pelham Commons on Mount Vernon! (Buy your own brunch.  Use those GWorlds.)
  • Monday, October 29th from 12 to 2 p.m. – pizza in the Club Room on Foggy Bottom!
  • Wednesday, October 31st from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. – bagels in the Club Room on Foggy Bottom!

BE THERE OR BE SQUARE ILL ADVISED!
If you need your CCAS advising hold removed, remember to bring a completed Advisor Approval Form.
Of course, you can always attend walk-in hours or make an appointment.  But then there won’t be food.

All About Spring '13 Registration

This is a long one, full of information so dry that even the most adorable cat pictures won’t spice it up.  Still, it’s important to know — so read through and come back to it later if you need!  Remember, if you miss your registration day, you won’t have another chance to register until open registration (so freshmen and sophomores, don’t waste your privileged registration!)
Registration dates, forms, procedures, and info on where to get free pizza ia all below!  Continue reading “All About Spring '13 Registration”
