Honor Cords, Grad Reception, and the Senior Survey

Howdy, Seniors.
If you’re graduating, have we got the survey for you! When you complete it, you can pick up your gold honor cord to wear at graduation.  You can also pick up your 4 tickets for the graduation reception.
The golden cord you’ll wear over your neck and let each tassle hang down over your front.  For some of you, these cords will accompany cords given to you for other distinctions as well.  Wearing the cord is a longstanding tradition that you should be proud and honored to be a part of — you know it will make your parents beam.
The graduation reception is a fabulous event that you won’t want to miss.  You and up to 4 guests can come enjoy food and drink in the beautiful City View Room and terrace in the Elliott School.  The event runs from 5:00-7:00pm on Saturday, May 18th, and you can drop in any time.  Hopefully we’ll get some beautiful views of a sunset over the Mall for our last hurrah together at GWU.
Of course, before you can get your cords or tickets, you need to complete the senior survey online. Why do we make you complete the senior survey? It takes about 5-10 minutes of your time, but it helps us to keep tabs on what our students who graduate the program go on to do.  It also is very helpful to us in terms of program evaluation, and you’ve certainly seen the many improvements we continually make to the program.
We know, we know… you’ve done course evaluations, and you’ve done periodic program assessments too.  On top of that, other programs you’re in might be having you do senior surveys as well.   Our senior survey asks questions that can’t be answered by any of those other surveys, as Ryan Gosling would say: the UHP is special.  So thanks for completing it, and we look forward to seeing you at the Grad Reception party!
