Congratulations to Felipe on the publication of his review, “Fluorescent proteins for in vivo imaging, where’s the biliverdin?”!

You should read about the current uses of the small Ultra-Red Fluorescent Protein (smURFP) in Nature, Nature Biotechnology, Nature Methods, Nature Communications, & many more!

Our paper with Jin Zhang’s Lab at UCSD is out in Nature Communications! We describe a new red fluorescent protein, stagRFP, for easier creation of FRET sensors. stagRFP is an excellent FRET acceptor and donor to the far-red fluorescent protein, smURFP. We show the simultaneous activity of three kinases (Akt, Src, & ERK) in a single cell!
