The Institute for Middle East Studies (IMES) at the George Washington University provides K-12 teachers and community college faculty access to scholars, classroom resources, and workshops. Our goal is to increase literacy on this important region by providing interdisciplinary perspectives that help teachers and students move beyond the headlines to generate nuanced understandings and strengthen their critical thinking skills.
