Developmental education is a critical part of any scientist’s successful career. Many science and academic programs lack the content, behavioral interventions, and competency building to produce team scientists poised to be productive contributors on cross-disciplinary teams. Participants will work with trained educators to assess what is needed in programs that prepare these professionals and how we can immediately impact students’ and faculty lives so that they are better prepared to enter into team collaboratives.
AIMS:
- To identify teaching and learning strategies and mechanisms for educating team scientists.
- To generate new knowledge on learning strategies or mechanisms for developing competencies for productive participation in team science
- To develop learning opportunities for team scientists: what it is, how it can benefit their projects/teams, how they can learn more about it?
