Meet your CCAS Coordinator!

It’s the beginning of the Spring 2019 semester, and our Student Services team welcomed the students back to a cold start with warm donuts, coffee, and friendly faces at a “Meet Your Coordinator” drop-in event on Thursday, January 17th.

Two new students of the Applied Economics Master’s program- Iswa Wasif from Pakistan, and Ilyas Iskakov from Kazakstan, chatting over coffee and donuts.

When you enroll in GW as a CCAS graduate student, you are assigned not only to a faculty advisor within your department, but you are also assigned to a student services coordinator within the graduate dean’s office. Our coordinators do everything from helping students navigate through the administrative processes (e.g. course registration), advising students on their degree progress, and just being an all-around advocate and support system.

Anna Marie Siegel, the Associate Director of CCAS Graduate Student Services said, “The goal of the event was to provide an informal meet and greet for students to meet their CCAS coordinator and other students. It also allowed students to get familiar with the location of our offices and our services, so they know we’re always close by and here to help.”

Welcome to the CCAS family!
