At the 2022 TRB Annual Meeting, Dr. Xu, together with three other young colleagues, served as the Organizing Chair of the Young Members Coordinating Council (YMCC) Workshop. The workshop, titled “Early Academic Successful Careers: Resources and Advice”, includes three sequential panels that collectively offer tips on successful publications from journal editors in the field of transportation, advice for writing research proposals from program managers, mentoring and networking in academia, and survival guides for junior faculty. Dr. Xu moderated the panel on Early Career Faculty Perspectives.
