Campus Compact's annual conference, Compact25, will be held in Atlanta, GA from March 31-April 2, 2025, celebrating 40 years of the organization. Campus Compact is a national coalition of colleges and universities committed to the public purposes of higher education (www.compact.org).

Campus Compact and CoGenerate are launching the Campus CoGenerate Affinity Network with support from MetLife Foundation. Starting in April 2025, this new initiative will bring together higher education leaders and students to foster collaboration and build meaningful connections across generations, with the goal of bridging generational divides and expanding economic opportunity.

Campus Compact and the American Association of Colleges and Universities (AAC&U) have announced a partnership to create the Higher Education Democracy Exchange (HEDx), a comprehensive virtual platform designed to advance the civic mission of higher education. This initiative, developed in collaboration with More Perfect and the University of Virginia's Karsh Institute of Democracy, will launch in Summer 2026.

Civic Tech DC and the DC Office of the Chief Technology Officer are hosting the DC Open Data Showcase 2025 on Wednesday, March 26th from 6:30-9:00 PM at Morning Consult (1025 F St NW #800). The event celebrates Open Data DC and other public data about the District as part of annual Open Data Week.

GW faculty, staff, and students are invited to attend or submit a proposal to give a 10-minute lightning talk by March 18th. Lightning talk submissions should demonstrate how you've used Open Data DC or other publicly available data about the District to solve city problems, tell compelling stories, or build tools.
